Hiking in the South Bay

We found out about the K9 Outdoor Adventure Group (k9hikers.com) at Bark in the Park, and since then have gone on a couple hikes with the (mostly) South Bay group.   Here’s a photo of Lola and K’Ehleyr at the end of our latest walk at Fremont Older Open Space Preserve.   I suppose we should have taken a scenic photo from the top of the hill, which has gorgeous views of the valley.

Anyway, it’s a fun group to join if you are interested in doing on-leash walks with other people and dogs.  Membership is free.

On an unrelated note, Ronan went to dock diving practice and jumped off the “big dog” dock once!   The rest of the time he swam from the exit ramp.  No photos of the breakthrough jump, but here’s a cute photo of him swimming with his bumper, courtesy of Lisa Newton.

Sounds like a great hike – dogs look pooped, which is always good! And Ronan – you brave doggeh, jumping off the high board – what a stud!!! Avalon just did the fastest zoomies I’ve ever seen her do in the back yard. There were three toys out there and she just didn’t know which she wanted! Then she found a rock in her “sandbox” and ran with that and in between, tried to dig (yet another) hole in the grass. Whew! My mom and sister are coming in tomorrow from NY to visit, so have been busy preparing – that’s why I’m taking a break from the blog! Have a great weekend!
